What would your organization do with an extra $1000?
Is your student group looking to take a trip? Upgrade your computer? Host a speaker? If you’re short on funds, consider the Dorm Crew Fundraising Program. We’re revolutionizing fundraising by letting you do it all yourself, without the uncertainty of a dance or a bake sale. Just call us two weeks in advance, and tell us how much money you are hoping to raise. No experience is necessary—we’ll train you.
It’s easy! Simply determine how much money you need, divide by $11.80, and you have the number of labor hours you need to work:
| Money | People | Hours Per Person |
| $500 | 10 | 4.25 |
| $1000 | 10 | 8.5 |
| $1000 | 20 | 4.25 |
| $2000 | 20 | 8.5 |
To make things easy for you, we’ll come to your meeting to handle all the paperwork.
Scheduling
We’ll work with you to set a schedule that best meets your needs. Name your time, and we’ll assign your group to a location. Or name your location and we’ll assign you a time. For example, if you can only work 8-11pm, you might only be able to work in the Yard. If the Quad is more your style, we can set you up for a weekday between 9 and 4:30, or maybe a weekend afternoon. We will do everything we can to accommodate the time and location desires of your group’s members.
Fast Facts
Wage: $11.80/hour!
Unfortunately, we cannot issue a check directly to an organization. Checks must be issued to the students doing the work, and these students will have to donate the money to your organization. To make this process simpler, we can issue the equivalent of four group members’ checks to one member.
Time/Location: Work is available on weekdays and weekends, in the Yard and in nearly every upperclass house.
What’s the work like? Cleaning student bathrooms in private suites. Part of your paid hours will include a brief training. People can work in pairs for company, or alone with music and headphones for solitude!
Sounds great! Who do I contact to get started? Just send us an email and we’ll put you in touch with a captain representative who can work with you to tailor a plan based on your group’s needs. If you can, please include how many people will be working, how many of these workers are already on Harvard’s payroll, how many hours you would like to work, and any location preferences.
